Casaloste Gran Selezione is the expression of the power and elegance of Sangiovese made in Chianti Classico. It is made from the best grapes coming from both the eastern and the western vineyards. Infact Morning sunlight expresses the power of the alcohol while the afternoon sunlight facilitates the development of aromas and bouquet.
Casaloste Gran Selezione shows a deep ruby colour with balsamic and spicy notes on the nose.
Taste is supported by low acidity and young tannins that may forecast a good longevity .
Malolactic fermentation is held in French oak barriques for a minimum period of 18 months , after 12 more months in larger casks , wine is then bottled and kept in bottle for at least 12 month before being released

Vinification: Stainless steel vats of 50 HL , dry selected yeasts for long aged red wines that are able to release a great amount of polysaccharides into the wine, soft extraction of polyphenols from skins with the use of delestage”.
Aging: for 18 months in French oak barriques (Allier) 30% new 70% one years old with microxigenation
